April School Vacation took place last week and we entertained kids for an entire week of fun!
This year we had a jam-packed schedule of events for children of all ages for their April School Vacation week that just passed – the hotel rate included daily activities such as live entertainment, board games, arts & crafts and more!
Our staff was excited to entertain your children with arts & crafts, along with professional entertainers, Magician Evan Northup and Mike the Bubble Man.
Whether with bubbles or magic, the kids had so much fun interacting with the shows – even the parents watching were laughing and giggling!
One of the most popular and favorite of the kids was the “Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae” event, where kids of all ages had a chance to sprinkle, drizzle, and scoop their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings! The creations were unbelievable – the children had great imagination playing around with the toppings.

This upcoming Mother’s Day weekend, join Team Maureen in a four-mile annual fun run/walk event at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel. Bring the special women in your life to run/walk with you!
Once again, Sea Crest Beach Hotel will celebrate women everywhere as the location for the annual family-friendly “Run 4 Your Life” supporting women’s cancer research. This event will bring participants of all ages and fitness levels together for a four-mile run, two-mile walk/run and kid’s fun dash to benefit Team Maureen, a non-profit launched by West Falmouth resident Eileen Duffey-Lind in memory of her sister, who died of cervical cancer. Team Maureen raises funds for gynecological cancer awareness and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The schedule are as follows:
Registration: 8 – 9:15 a.m.
Kid’s Fun Dash: 9:30 a.m. start
Four-Mile Run: 9:45 a.m. start
Two-Mile Walk/Run: 10 a.m. start
The Maureen E. Russo Nonprofit Organization was founded as a promise and in memory of Maureen E. Russo, a loving sister, daughter, wife and mother who passed away from relapsed cervical cancer at the age of 37. To honor that promise and keep Maureen’s competitive spirit alive, Maureen’s family and friends founded Team Maureen in 2007 as a Pan Mass Challenge cycling team to raise funds for cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston, MA. That fundraising has grown to form a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting and preventing cervical cancers and enhancing the lives of those who live with the disease.
We are honored to host this run and be part of this event. Please register online for the run/walk and consider getting involved with the organization by volunteering, being a donor, or participating in the event itself. Make sure to like Team Maureen on Facebook as well!
